Note to reader:  There will be at least one funny/slightly embarrassing part in this blog post...from my perspective anyway.  Keep reading to hear more!  ; )

I slept really well Saturday night (July 28th) and woke up uncharacteristically early on Sunday, July 29th.  My subconscious was probably to blame for this as I was to receive a final phone call sometime in the morning to let me know how my embryos were doing and what the plan was for my transfer on Monday.  I woke up early enough to actually shower, eat breakfast, and attend the early church service.  But I wasn't sure if I should go.  I mean, what if my embryologist called during church?  I debated sitting in the back pew and putting my cell phone on vibrate, then sneaking out the nearby door to answer my phone if needed.

Ultimately, I decided to try for the second service at 10:30 am and hoped my embryologist would call before that so I wouldn't have to revisit my plan for the first service.  I busied myself with laundry and dishes.  Eventually I began to ready myself for the second church service around 9 am, which was precisely when my embryologist called.  And what great timing she had!  Let me preface this by saying those of you going through IVF and taking all the hormones should be able to relate:  I had been terribly constipated for days.  DAYS I tell you!  I finally broke down and called my RE's office and asked if there was anything safe to take to treat my ailment.  The nurse recommended Colace.  So I had just taken some Colace when I woke up that Sunday morning and things were beginning to move...right when my embryologist called!

Fortunately, I had taken my cell phone with me into the bathroom.  It was practically glued to my hip all morning, and of course this would be the moment that she called.  I heard my phone vibrating on the counter of the sink and checked the caller ID.  Maybe it's a telemarketer and I can ignore the call?  No such luck.  I hurried myself to, um, finish my business, which was no small feat after DAYS of issues, and answered the call on the very last ring.  There was no way I was going to miss this call!

It was my embryologist and she cut right to the chase:  she said they don't check the embryos the day before a transfer so as of yesterday (Saturday), we had 11 embryos left!  11 was still a really good number!  Although I have to admit that after only losing one per day over the last few days, I was disappointed to hear we had lost five since Friday.  But I resolved to stay positive.  : )

The embryologist also gave me the details about my embryo transfer for Monday, July 30th.  My appointment time was 12 pm, and DH and I were to arrive at 11:30 am.  I was instructed to empty my bladder at exactly 10:30 am and drink 24 - 32 ounces of water by 11 am.  She told me to also take my one Valium pill at 11 am.  She asked me if I had any questions, which I did but I decided to save them for the RE who would be doing my transfer, so I said no and thanked her for calling me.  We hung up and I told DH the plan.

I returned to getting ready for church and continued praying my same prayers over and over again.  'God, please keep our embryos safe and strong and dividing quickly so that they will be upgraded to a level one.  Please also prepare a nice home for them in my uterus for the next 9 months.'

After church, I was feeling really good despite still being bloated and sore so I asked DH if he wanted to go for a walk with me.  He agreed and we went out for maybe 20 minutes.  It was nice to get some exercise, be out of the house after feeling so yucky from the IVF meds for the past 10 days or so, and spend some quality time with DH.  I love him so much!  He still give me butterflies in my stomach after almost five years together.  :D

Then came the waiting game again...waiting for my embryo transfer the next day (Monday, July 30th).  I couldn't believe the day was almost here!
